Our Mission
ECEC provides and enhances, in an isolated rural setting, educational enrichment to all ages in an environment that nurtures their greatest social, emotional, physical and intellectual potential. ECEC provides opportunities to raise the level of awareness and skill in artistic, environmental, and social enterprise in an atmosphere of multigenerational interaction and encouragement to benefit the entire community.

The Butterfly Pavilion, Outpost Cafe, ECEC gardens and Fort Umpqua are open daily from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day. Plan your visit for next spring and watch here for special events!
ECEC is hosting fund-raising theme dinners monthly again this year. The next event will be Saturday, December 10. The meal will have a pioneer holiday theme,with food and music typical of the Fort Umpqua period. It will be at 6pm, in the ECEC library. Advance reservations are appreciated for the dinners. Call the ECEC office, 584-2692 or email for information.
Holiday weekend at ECEC Gift Shop, Quilter Sale and Used Book Sale
Friday & Saturday, Nov 25 & 26, 10am to 4pm in the Gift shop and library. Elkton High Senior class will also take orders for trees and wreaths.
