Amphitheater
Constructed in 2002 by volunteers, the amphitheater offers a site for community gatherings. "Echoes of the Umpqua" pageant, weddings, ceremonies, concerts and lectures are held there. The facility seats 200 people in an outdoor atmosphere near two ponds and the growing native Oregon park.
The "Echoes of the Umpqua" pageant performed annually, is scripted, acted and produced by local talent. Cathy Byle, local music instructor, is the pageant director.
It is often hard to tell who is having the most fun in the pageant, the audience or the actors. The participation has increased to over 100 community members.
